Lost in DC

Today we traveled to the nation’s Capital with the intention of engaging lostness. Our team of six adults and three children planned where we would eat and what places we would visit in hopes that we would encounter people who were open to hearing the gospel. We enjoyed lunch at an authentic Ethiopian restaurant and ate only with our hands. We both had the lamb which was awesome! Judah really enjoyed our time on the metro lines.

Then we went to the African Museum of Art and saw a great exhibit that the children enjoyed. What was great is that I met Christopher, a guy here from Germany for two weeks who was open to talking about the gospel. As we talked, he told me that though Jesus was the Son of God, Jesus was NOT God. So we spent some time in John chapter one. You’re probably expecting a cool story about how he changed his belief and accepted Jesus as both the Son of God AND God and came to true saving faith in God, but I don’t have one. What I can say is that where ever we go as believers, we are to engage lostness, always prepared to teach the truth of Scripture. Pray for Christopher as he reads John 1 this week.

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God.” Jn 1:1-2

“And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us…” Jn 1:14
