The Mother Care Kits include rice, beans, salt, soap, oil, lamba and a Malagasy Bible. We spent the last week gathering the items and sorting them for assembly. We made kit assembly a home school service project one morning and the hospital visit a service project for another morning. We set up the items on the table and let Judah and Anjara build the kits. After building the kits we read the story about Jesus and his disciples feeding five thousand people on a hillside. We talked about how Jesus not only cared about their relationship with Him but also cared that they had real physical needs.
The mothers and their family are always amazed that someone would give them such a gift, especially a Bible. Though many along the road can read, they cannot afford a Bible. All three ladies in the last picture can read yet none of them owned a Bible.
- for the health of the two mothers and the babies we visited this morning.
- that they heard, understood and believe the gospel we preached this morning.
- that the Bibles they carry back to their villages may be an introduction of God’s truth into their lives and those around them.
